I was a serious DIY bride. In fact, I think I maybe took it a little too far. My mother would DEFINITELY say I took it too far, but the truth is, I LOVED it! Planning our wedding was so much fun and making all our little details by hand made it even more enjoyable. Seriously.. There were a lot of details. The cake, my veil, the guys bowties, all the flowers – bouquets and boutonnieres, the centerpieces, the welcome area (including the paper cones to be filled up with treats), the jam favors made from handpicked fruits, the many, many strands of bunting, the guestbook, the invitations, our save-the-date video, the welcome bags, all of it.. It was all done ourselves (and with help from some amazing loved ones).
