You can’t get any more adorable than Stephanie and Joel! Forget about all the gorgeous fall colors behind them. They are just such fun, happy people to photograph! These two have not had professional photos taken of them before as a couple because they were nervous about the entire experience. But they couldn’t have been more perfect clients for us!

Stephanie & Joel are from Northern VA but drove down for the weekend to take a look around the CNU campus, as she is a graduate from there (That school just keeps getting more and more beautiful!). They didn’t really have anywhere in mind for their engagement session, but they had told us that Joel proposed on the beach. So we decided on Yorktown beach. We LOOOVE that area because we always find somewhere new and exciting to photograph there, and it has a lot of what we love, all in one place!

On the day we scheduled the engagement, there were some serious wind alerts around our area. We heard a lot of our photography friends were cancelling their shoots, not to mention the wind brought the temperature down to a cool 48 degrees! However, we did not really have that luxury because Stephanie & Joel were from out of town, and already down here. But even with the blustering wind and cool temperatures, these two crushed it! We started with our amazing couple in the fall leaves of the historic Yorktown area, before looping around some of the buildings, and heading back to the waterfront to end. Throughout their shoot, even as the sun was setting, and the wind was just blowing like crazy on the beach, they kept going… I mean just look at them! They are stunning people with amazing smiles! We just kept saying one more because we couldn’t stop trying to photograph how much these two love each other!

Stephanie & Joel, you guys rocked, and were so much fun to photograph! We loved getting to know you, and can’t wait for your big day!
