WE LOVE FALL! We can’t say it enough… Seriously! When the weather stayed in the mid 70’s for this wedding, we were ecstatic! If you don’t recognize this stunning couple, we drove up to DC for their engagement and the temperature was over 100 degrees! (Did we mention we love fall yet?) But their wedding temperature and weather was great, and add to that a beautiful outdoor venue that was new to us, along with a gorgeous classic gown with extra long veil… this wedding couldn’t have been more beautiful! The wedding was at the old Tredegar Iron Works building that is now the Civil War Museum. Both their ceremony and reception were outside, in the perfect weather, just the way we like it.
Becky & JP both went to Virginia Tech, and met through mutual friends at school, and throughout the evening, we kept hearing story after story about these two wonderful people. Some, just by accident while roaming around, and others through some very emotional toasts that both Laura and I struggled to hold together through. Their personal touches were all throughout their wedding, not only in the stories they told, but also in their details. Becky’s aunt crochet’d the top of the Chuppah, and JP handmade his wedding band out of US quarters! Yes, the coin! (We’re definitely going to create this as a DIY in the near future if we can figure it out).
Becky & JP were referred to us through a past ML couple and long time friends of ours, Emily & Jonathan, who were at the wedding as well. Our ideal clients are usually referred to us through our past clients, and it’s amazing how similarly wonderful those couples are. Becky & JP were perfect for us and they definitely are clients turned friends. At the end of our time with them, they asked us to stay and party the rest of the night away, and while we got a few dances in, I wish we could have stayed longer. Becky & JP, we had the best time being a part of your stunning wedding day, and we hope you enjoy South Africa!
