Amber Grove Richmond Wedding Photography

Hey friends, how’s it going? We’re excited to share Sarah and Austin’s beautiful Amber Grove Richmond Wedding photography. As Richmond wedding photographers, Amber Grove has become like a second home for us over the past ten years. We’ve shot countless weddings here, and it’s always a joy to return.

One of the quirks of Amber Grove is their resident cat, Klaus. We joked about who had been around longer—us or Klaus—and it turns out, Klaus may have been here first! Klaus is still as chill as ever, even if we aren’t huge cat people. He made a brief appearance before disappearing to nap, like he always does!

Perfect Weather – Amber Grove Richmond Wedding

Sarah and Austin were blessed with perfect weather for their wedding day. Their engagement session in Richmond had been sweltering—115 degrees!—but on their big day, there was a soft breeze, warm air, and it was simply perfect. We even considered taking a break inside after their first look. But the weather was so nice, they decided to stay outside and keep going.

One of the many things we love about Amber Grove is its scenic beauty. They have an abundance of mature trees that provide gorgeous shady spots, perfect for both photos and for guests to relax. Sarah and Austin’s ceremony took place outdoors under a stunning willow tree, and while there’s usually a tent for the reception, many guests opted to stay outside, enjoying cornhole, a bonfire, and a big swing. The vibe was so laid-back and fun!

Their timeline was flawless. By doing a first look and taking all their bridal party and family photos before the ceremony, they had plenty of time to relax and enjoy their day. We snuck them out for sunset portraits at the end of cocktail hour. This allowed them to spend the rest of the evening celebrating with their friends.

Sarah and Austin were truly our kind of couple—relaxed, easygoing, and fun. If you’re planning your Richmond wedding and are open to a first look, we highly recommend this approach. It allows you to get all your photos done early so you can relax and enjoy your reception. Plus, it means you won’t be stuck taking photos all day and missing out on the fun!

Taylor Swift Bracelets

One detail we especially loved about their reception was the adorable touch of Taylor Swift-inspired friendship bracelets. Sarah and Austin had a table full of glow sticks, light-up leis, heart-shaped glasses, and friendship bracelets with their wedding hashtag. It was such a cute and creative way to get the party going!

All in all, Sarah and Austin’s day was everything you’d want a Richmond wedding to be—fun, relaxed, and full of love. We’re so thrilled to have been a part of this wedding day. Scroll below to see a few of our many favorite moments from this Amber Grove Richmond wedding.

Congrats, you two!
