Today we are sharing Madeline and Paul’s University of Richmond fall engagement that we photographed here in Richmond. I think it’s crazy that I grew up in Richmond and I think this isn’t the first time I was ever on this campus. And it is absolutely beautiful. We should definitely do more sessions here. 

Madeline and Paul walked us around campus, mostly around a big lake that is there. It was absolutely beautiful, it was the perfect fall day and the colors were incredible. So we started sort of by the chapel which is actually where Madeline and Paul are going to get married. So that was fun kind of seeing their ceremony location beforehand. And then they walked us around the lake to the gazebo where Paul actually proposed. So it’s really like a full circle moment.

I’m really excited to photograph their ceremony in the chapel. It’s absolutely beautiful. And I am even more excited for the portraits we get to take it afterwards. It’s just gonna be such a fun place for wedding pictures.

Just after we posted their sneak, our friend Bryce texted us who is their wedding planner. He is so fantastic and we are all just so excited for this wedding day.

Michael actually knows Madeline because she’s a teacher at one of the schools were he takes portraits. She is an absolute sweetheart. It was so much fun spending the afternoon with the both of them. 

What I love about Madeleine is that she is inviting her students from this year and her students from last year to come to the wedding ceremony. I was actually teacher when Michael and I got married and I wish that I had been able to invite my students as well. I think it’s such a sweet idea and will be such a fun memory for these kids.
