Connie and Adam’s Lake Gaston engagement session that we shot at Adam’s family home on the lake.
Going to Lake Gaston every summer for camp but I have never been. In my head it was somewhere really far away but it’s really only an hour and a half from Richmond. And it’s beautiful. I have never been in the fall. I always went in the summer and it really is just spectacular with all the fall colors on the lake.
Really fun for this to be at their house because I think they were really comfortable from the start there. And we got to meet Adam’s dad who is the sweetest. He actually took us out on their pontoon boat which was amazing. I think that was the nicest and coolest pontoon boat I’ve ever seen. With a custom deck.
Pictures from Connie and Adam on the boat that were taken from land just know that Adam’s dad and I were laying on the floor of the boat for those. (Maybe you saw on our Instagram)
I just love that they picked this location for their engagement session because it’s a place that Connie and I don’t really love. They go there all the time with friends in fact they went there that weekend to have an oyster roast that they do every year.
Before we headed down to the lake itself, we did some up on the road with all of the fall colors on the trees that surround their neighborhood.
We headed down to Lake Gaston. Their backyard is so perfect. It has a little cove that goes out into the water so we were able to use all kinds of angles to find the best light while still being able to get the water in the trees in the background.
Nice doing this engagement session a family home because we were able to have so many things that you couldn’t have a regular session like seeing their family dog or getting spiked hot chocolate in between pictures.
Enjoy a few of out many, many favorites from this Lake Gaston engagement session. Congrats you guys!
