So today we are sharing with you some engagement photos from Emily and Ben’s Lansdowne golf resort engagement session! Or is it Lansdowne country club and resort… and spa?
From Lansdowne in Leesburg it’s fancy yo.
Emily and Ben are insanely amazing couple. Emily has been a huge cheerleader for our business for a long time. She has sent us so many wonderful clients and we are so blessed to be able to have her in our life and shoot her wedding.
When they got engaged I was just over the moon. And then when she reached out to us asking to shoot her wedding it was so sweet and we are just so excited to be able to shoot their wedding back at Lansdowne for New Year’s Eve.
It is going to be a party. So make sure if you’re doing anything on New Year’s Eve you are watching our Insta stories. Forget the ball drop.
Do you think I can to convince them to do a balloon drop? I don’t know the logistics but I feel like it would be amazing.
I also think it’s a perfect way to start the new year with such a great couple. After this year that has been difficult and crazy.
It will be starting 2021 off right.
Yes and they will be partying into the new year. Well we will be photographing into the new year.
They are very fun loving they would want us to be partying with them.
We also shot her sisters wedding last November, Caitlin and Andrew. And the last engagement session we shared Alanna and Niall, Alanna is her cousin.
So when I say that Emily has been a cheerleader for us this is what I’m talking about. We could share so many people that she has sent us over the years.
So anyways their Lansdowne golf resort engagement session was amazing. We met at Lansdowne. They wanted to be able to go to their wedding venue which I think is so fun. Especially because a lot of times when we shoot weddings at golf courses, we don’t really get to utilize the golf course.Â
Wedding day timelines are so crammed packed. Sometimes we will be able to get onto the golf course with a golf cart quickly. But it was nice to be able to have the time of the engagement session to be able to really shoot on the golf course.
They did have to schedule their engagement session for earlier in the day than we would normally shoot. But the great thing about Lansdowne is that it’s right next to the river and there are lots of trees around.
And I think in some spots you couldn’t even really tell that we were photographing on a golf course. It was just clean and wilderness-y.
There was a scheduling mishap and the guy that took us out from Lansdowne on the golf course I don’t think really knew what he was getting himself into. But he was really sweet and the whole staff at Lansdowne was really nice the whole time.Â
So he took us to one spot where we really utilize the golf course. And then we got into the golf cart and asked him to take us to one other spot that was near the river. And we ended up actually using this area of trees that was on the opposite side.
I think the point is that sometimes the venue owners or people who work at a venue have an idea of what will be really pretty, but don’t necessary know what will photograph best. The light was so great on the other side and the photographs turned out really well there because of that. So we are thankful that our couples trust us to pick locations even if they seem crazy.
I think it’s funny because what you see is really pretty sometimes isn’t necessarily what is going to photograph the best.
So we took the first half of their engagement session photographs on the golf course. Then did the second half after they did an outfit change right around the Lansdowne country club building. Shot on this patio looking thing and this beautiful overlook where the driving range was.
Enjoy a few of our favorites from Emily and Ben’s Lansdowne country club engagement session.
