Alex and her mom really wanted her senior session to be during the fall.  They wanted those beautiful fall colors.  Unfortunately with all this rain.. historic, record breaking rain, our fall colors were so random.  There are some streets I drive down and feel like I’m in a freaking postcard.. gorgeous colors.. but then other are just brown and all the leaves are already gone… and then the next day it’s totally different.  Luckily, even though the Carillon area was pretty much still all green and reaaaalllllyyyyyy lacking in beautiful fall colors, we managed to find a few good spots.

Alex was an absolute gem.  I am always so impressed by the parents and students we shoot who are a part of Hampton Roads Academy.  We have shot a lot of their seniors and they are always so respectful, kind, and crazy ambitious.  As we were walking around and chat with Alex she mentioned she was going to use all of her theater knowledge to get through the session.  Then later while we were asking Alex about her plans after graduating, she talked about early applying to a university.. so I asked if she was hoping to do theater there.  No.. she is planning to go pre-med!  You see what I mean?!
