This iconic location never ceases to amaze us with its stunning backdrop of historic architecture, clean lines, and vibrant charm.

If you’ve followed us for a while, you know we go through phases with our favorite locations. Recently, Capitol Square Park has been at the top of the list. Between its beautifully manicured grounds and the striking stairs of the Capitol building, this spot offers incredible variety in a compact space.

While half of the park was under construction not long ago, it’s fully accessible now, and we’re thrilled to make the most of its picturesque corners. There’s just something magical about capturing couples against the backdrop of Richmond’s rich history.

Paige and Jon are the kind of couple that makes our job a dream. Funny story: we actually bumped into them as they were walking up to meet us—talk about perfect timing! Right from the start, their warmth and natural chemistry shone through. Let’s be real—sometimes grooms can be a little nervous or shy during engagement shoots, but not for Jon! He showed up with confidence and a smile that could light up a room. Paige was equally radiant, making it clear they’re a match made in heaven.

One of the things we love most about engagement sessions is that they allow couples to relax and get comfortable with us before their wedding day. While most couples need a little warm-up time, Paige and Jon dove right in! They were effortlessly striking poses and sharing laughs. Their energy was contagious, making every shot amazing.

Excited for Their Big Day

Looking forward, Paige and Jon’s wedding is going to be one for the books! They’ll tie the knot at Hope Church here in Richmond, a stunning venue designed by the same architect behind Pippin Hill. The modern design and incredible natural light make it a photographer’s dream.

Their reception will be held at the Hermitage Golf Course, another breathtaking location. We can already imagine the joy, laughter, and beautiful moments that will unfold on their big day, and we can’t wait to be there to capture it all.
