Hello, friends! We’re thrilled to share Olivia and Tucker’s VMFA Richmond fall engagement session at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, in the historic fan district. This iconic location not only set the stage for their beautiful photos but also holds a special place in their hearts.

Why the VMFA is the Perfect Spot

The VMFA isn’t just a museum; it’s a photographer’s dream location. Olivia and Tucker chose it because Richmond has been their home for years, making it the perfect backdrop for their story. Whether it’s the architectural beauty of the museum, the lush seasonal landscaping, or the vibrant streets surrounding it, there’s something so special about this area. And It’s even cooler that Olivia and Tucker have been living nearby this area for years. This is their stomping ground!

Even though the day was overcast, it didn’t dampen the charm of the session. VMFA shines in every season! Spring blooms, summer shade, fall foliage, and even the crisp look of winter make it ideal year-round. And with all the pretty buildings and side streets, there’s so much good architecture to use as well.

A Personal Connection -VMFA Richmond Fall Engagement

This session was extra special because we’ve worked with Olivia’s family before! We photographed her two sisters’ weddings in 2023, and seeing familiar faces felt like a family reunion. We can’t wait to celebrate with this family again! It’s an incredible honor when families invite us back to capture their milestones, especially when we get to celebrate another wedding!

Olivia and Tucker’s dynamic added even more joy. Tucker was so involved in the planning process, bringing a level of enthusiasm we don’t always see. Olivia joked that Tucker might have deserved the bride’s planner package, given how hands-on he was!

We can’t wait for Olivia and Tucker’s wedding at the VMFA. It’s always an amazing feeling to see a couple’s love story come full circle, especially in a place as meaningful as Richmond.
