Hey friends, today we’re thrilled to share Emily and Jack’s The Preserve at Dundee Richmond Wedding! This was our first time capturing a wedding at this gorgeous venue, and it did not disappoint. Nestled just 20 minutes outside downtown Richmond, The Preserve at Dundee gives you the perfect mix of scenic countryside and proximity to the city—making it a dream location for couples looking for both a Richmond wedding and a little escape into nature.

A Picturesque Richmond Wedding Venue

We first visited The Preserve at Dundee for their engagement session, and we knew immediately Emily and Jack’s wedding was going to be spectacular. The venue itself offers breathtaking mountain-like views, despite being just a short drive from downtown Richmond. Couples planning a wedding in Richmond, VA who want a countryside vibe with city convenience will love this location.

Stunning Ceremony and Reception

The ceremony took place in the Preserve at Dundee’s beautifully landscaped backyard. It provides an intimate, secluded space that feels like you’re in the middle of the mountains—without the drive to Charlottesville! Behind the couple, the vast, rolling hills served as a perfect backdrop for timeless wedding portraits.

For the reception, Emily and Jack went with a high-point tent, which brought elegance and charm to the outdoor setting. The tent, adorned with twinkle lights, created a magical ambiance that transformed the evening. Their wedding rentals were superb, with Mosaic providing incredible catering, and King William Florist delivering bold, vibrant floral arrangements that truly made the space pop.

Timeless Wedding Photography in Richmond

Emily and Jack’s wedding was full of unique touches that made for some stunning, timeless wedding photos. Emily looked breathtaking in her wedding gown, and her reception dress was the perfect outfit change to kick off the party! Jack, always stylish, impressed us during their engagement session when he brought two blazers—and he didn’t disappoint on the wedding day either.

Their day was filled with fun moments. From their live music (which included a saxophonist for their ceremony) to a packed dance floor that brought guests of all ages together. These candid moments made for some of our favorite shots, capturing the essence of what Richmond weddings are all about. Celebrating love with family and friends.

The Perfect The Preserve at Dundee Wedding Exit

Their night concluded with an epic exit featuring light-up streamers and bubble machines. One of the most fun and visually stunning exits we’ve photographed. Emily and Jack left in a vintage Jeep Wagoner. It perfectly capping off a wedding day that blended classic elegance with their stylish, vibrant personalities.
