Today we are sharing Emily & Jack’s engagement session that we just shot at The Preserve at Dundee here in the outskirts of Richmond. The venue is actually in Hanover County, and we are absolutely obsessed with. It’s also where Emily and Jack are getting married.
The Preserve at Dundee is active hunting ground, and spans almost 300 acres. The house is an old historic brick building, with a gorgeous drive up, and the view at the back of the house is gorgeous. You actually get a gorgeous hilly overlook with wildflowers growing all over the place.
On the property, they have a converted carriage house where the guys get ready, an additional cottage for the bride, a pool at the edge, and plenty of space for a beautiful tent.
The day was actually cooler than other days we have been shooting in, but it was still hot. Not that it mattered to Emily and Jack. They absolutely crushed it. We put them in the first pose, and as soon as they looked at each other, they just broke out laughing, and we just fell in love. These two were so cute in front of the camera. So many of our couples will do something like that, and make each other laugh, and then apologize, but those are the shots we actually want. Pretend we aren’t here, and just be cute together. So bubbly and smiley. The Preserve gave us so much variety for their session.
Both Emily and Jack had such great style. Jack brought multiple jackets, and both of Emily’s outfits were beautiful! We just can’t wait for their wedding in the fall. It’s going to be amazing!
