Today we are sharing Amy and Aaron’s Amber Grove Winter Wedding day.
If you were thinking you may see a couple Star Wars details.. or a few DIY details – you aren’t ready for this wedding.
I thought I was the most DIY bride ever – Amy went far above and beyond what I did for our wedding. It was incredible!!!
I think Amy should take over our Monday Crafternoons because she is such an incredible DIYer. We actually made Amy a display board for her table places and favors. Where she actually handmade an ornament with each of her guest’s name and a secondary ornament of the table they were sitting out. It was absolutely incredible.
She also made her own wedding cake. And I knew it was going to be good because she sent me some pictures and I knew she had a little bit of a background because she started baking a lot during Covid. But oh my gosh this cake was absolutely incredible. No one would have possibly known that this was not a professional baker by trade.
There were chocolate molds all over the cake that fit the Star Wars theme. The cake topper was a little R2-D2 and BB8. The cake cutter and server were little light saber handles.
She had light saber handles for all the florals that she made! They gave their wedding party light sabers, they had a light saber unity ceremony. Aaron’s ring was a scene from Star Wars.
They went fully all in with the Star Wars theme – it was everywhere. Every single place you looked during this wedding day there was a handmade detail, something that fit with their Star Wars theme, and something that was super personal to the two of them.
Just spending the day with them was just so much fun. And their wedding party was just amazing. Every single one of them was just an absolute blast. They were amazing.
Everyone was so close and so unbelievably supportive.
We did a father daughter first look and a mother son first look. His grandma also came to the first look. Who was also their flower girl. It was amazing. Grandma’s should always be flower girls.
I haven’t even talked about their first dance. Seriously we have seen SO many choreographed dances.. this one wins. It was spectacular and SO them. It also got the most amazing standing ovation when they were done.
She also had a blue dress!!! She went to our friends at Brocade wedding salon and they hooked her up with a gorgeous blue dress. It turned out so well! And with Aaron’s suit jacket – it was incredible. AND he had a vest as an outfit change for the reception.
Which is honestly the thing that I love the most about this wedding day. They absolutely did not do anything that they felt like they “had to do”. All of their choices throughout the wedding day were about making sure that their friends and family had a good time and that it represented the two of them so well. And it really did.
I love you guys so much – joy some of our many favorites from this incredible Amber Grove Winter Wedding day.
Congrats you guys!
