We actually shot a doubleheader at Downtown Richmond Main Street station wedding this weekend. On Saturday we were there in the back portion which is the shed it’s more of like the greenhouse looking big windows huge warehouse see wedding venue. Then on Sunday we were back at Main Street Station in the front portion. It looks a little more historic, has the large windows, brick details – called the Head House. Which is where Emma and Andy got married.
This was the first time we’ve ever shot a doubleheader at the same venue. It was really cool because we were able to use both of their wedding venue spaces.
The Head House has the perfect downtown Richmond vibes. I’m going to say it – Main Street Station is my favorite building in Richmond. It’s so quintessentially Richmond. I love it so much.
I actually used to teach with Emma back in my elementary school teacher days. They now live in Texas, but it was so nice being able to spend the day her and Andy. Emma & Andy are both so go with the flow. They know what they want, but they aren’t worried about the rest.
We started the wedding day with details at Emma’s family home, then traveled to Main Street Station where the guys were getting ready. Can we give a shout out to Andy’s suit?! It was amazing. He had this really cool woven tie to go with it.
I also loved that their bridal party was all mixed and matched. They were all slightly different colors and it turned out so well.
Emma also had this vintage ring that was pasted down to her, and it perfectly matched her wedding colors. It was so beautiful and so perfect.
We did their first look just outside Main Street Station at the top of the stairs. Then we did bridal party in the shed with the huge windows before taking a few more outside, across the street.
The whole wedding day was a really good use of space. Their ceremony and reception was upstairs and then cocktail hour was downstairs. But their ceremony space was flipped to become the dance floor which was so much fun!
I loved how they did their parent dances. Emma has three dads and she had a short planned dance with each of them. I absolutely loved it! You could tell that each of them fit their style and it was such a nice moment to make each of them feel special.
Then Andy and his mom had a short dance together before inviting everyone to the dance floor with them. And I think every single person there flooded the dance floor.
Ben, from Summit Events was their DJ – we adore working with him. He is a great vendor because he is so fun to work with, but also because he isn’t just a DJ. He brought the uplighting to really highlight the venue space, and the photo booth which I will always love.
It was such a wonderful day. Enjoy a few of our many favorites from this perfect downtown Richmond, Main Street Station wedding day!
Congratulations you guys!
