Today we are sharing Laura and Connor’s wedding celebration at Pippin Hill Virginia wedding. These two actually got married in the height of Covid in December 2020. So this was their celebration of being able to gather all of their friends and family.

If you’ve never had a chance to go to Pippin Hill, absolutely you should go! It is a winery open to the public and you can feel free to just spend an afternoon there. But it also makes for a spectacular wedding venue especially in the fall amongst the beautiful mountain colors.

Because these two were already married they didn’t have a traditional timeline. They went straight into cocktail hour, then the reception, rather than having a ceremony.

It’s really incredible because they were able to have his beautiful intimate ceremony. But then also enjoy a huge party with everybody that they love in attendance. I kind of see it has the best of both worlds.

This day included spectacular florals, a wonderful planner, and one of the most beautiful wedding venues we’ve ever been.

I feel like they also really got to enjoy the day. We certainly took a ton of portraits but then they just got to hang out with her friends and family without a lot of pressure of a normal wedding day.

Pippin Hill is set in the middle of the Blue Ridge mountains.  It’s surrounded by rolling hills, the amazing building, and pristine vineyards. If you are getting married here, be sure to plan your portrait time around sunset.  

It was amazing we were able to pull them right at sunset to get some portraits in the beautiful glowy light.  We headed down the hill to a meadow of wildflowers and walked around the big fields, in front of the vines, and between the rows of hydrangeas with the iconic Pippin Hill doors behind them. 

Then once their cocktail hour was over and they had a chance to mingle with all their guests, they were invited inside for the reception.  They got to finally have their first dance and toasts while enjoying an amazing dinner together.  And really just were able to celebrate together.
