Today we are sharing Emma and Andy’s Charlottesville farm winter engagement session that we shot last week at Andy’s families property. It is a beautiful hundred acre property with a restored farmhouse from the 1800s.

What was really cool about this property is that there’s only been a handful of owners in those hundreds of years. They’ve done such a phenomenal job restoring this property and the home. They added on a gorgeous addition that is sort of barn like that we took a ton of pictures in front of.

Honestly I wish we could go back and shoot there in the fall because it would have been so gorgeous. We went on honestly a not-so-beautiful day. Emma and Andy actually live in Texas and were just here for the holidays so we had a limited amount of time to book their session.  This day was a super overcast day, and it had been raining, obviously the trees were very bare because it was the middle of winter. And even with all of those things it was still so gorgeous. So we can only imagine what it would look like in the peek of fall.

As we were driving up, we were thinking what a beautiful place it would be for a wedding. Emma and Andy actually thought about getting married here. Some family members have been married there. Emma couldn’t get around the idea of not having a solid rain plan. So they are getting married at Main Street station here in Richmond. Which I am so excited for!!! It is such a beautiful and historic building in downtown RVA. 

Their dog, Jabba, was there as well. And he followed them around the entire session. We actually asked Emma if she was OK with him being featured in a ton of their pictures which she was totally fine with so it’s going to be like a “where’s waldo” for finding Jabba in the pictures.
