After shooting Kate & Eric’s engagement session last fall, Michael and I were pretty convinced their Amber Grove Fall wedding day was going to be amazing.  Every conversation we had with the two of them leading up to the wedding day confirmed that these two are absolute gems.

Eric was an insanely involved groom. He pretty much had to be since Kate has spent the year finishing up medical school in Charlottesville. But despite that, I think he would have been helping every step of the way.  The two of them planned a perfect wedding day.

Amber Grove Fall Wedding

Kate’s dress was one of my absolute favorite dresses to date and had the most gorgeous cathedral veil.  Their sweet dog, Remi, was the ring bearer.. a dog so well behaved he was trusted with the actual ring on his collar.

Eric and his buddies played football in the morning and shared a bourbon toast before their first look.  Also, the weather was absolutely ideal.. which is amazing since earlier in the week they were calling for rain!

They got married outside at Amber Grove under a beautiful Oak tree.. our favorite ceremony spot at one of our favorite wedding venues.  They wrote their own vows, had a friend officiate their ceremony, were surrounded by the sweetest group of family and friends, planned their photo times around sunset.  Moreover, they gave us a ton of time for portraits, which we LOVED. Finally, dance floor was full all night, and they left in a 1960s Rolls Royce. It was basically all the things we love in one wedding day.

And all with two people who are so insanely in love you can’t help but smile around them.  It was the perfect day.  Enjoy a few of our favorites from their Amber Grove Fall Wedding.. and by a few a mean a ton. Because I have about a million favorites from this day..
