If this beautiful couple and this location look familiar, you’re not going crazy. Yeidy and Robert took their engagement photos and also got married at one of our favorite venues, Amber Grove. Located south of Richmond, this venue has everything you’d want in a venue. An antique barn and original plantation house with beautiful green plains, reception tent with lighting and dance floor, and of course John And his amazing catering staff and crew that makes sure your day goes perfectly (and a bonus for us is it’s close to both of our parents houses!!). They have both bridal and grooms suites, where Yeidy and Robert got ready, and afterwards shared a few  moments with each other as a first look before heading to their ceremony. Yeidy and Robert decided to have their ceremony at a nearby church, and they cleverly planned out a little extra travel time to get there and back. It’s something we recommend for couples that do change locations on their wedding day. This extra time allowed us to have just a few minutes before they headed to their ceremony with just them for a first look.

Another thing we, or should I say I, absolutely love, is vintage cars. I’ve wanted to buy an old antique 1950’s chevy pickup, or an old MG to fix up and offer for our clients. Right now, it’s still a pipe dream, but when Yeidy and Robert told us they were renting an old Bentley, I just about lost it! They left their ceremony, and went Back to Amber Grove in this beautiful car. We took their bride and groom portraits with this amazing looking car before they joined their reception. Congratulations Yeidy & Robert! Your wedding day was perfect! Full of amazing details, beautiful families, and so much love!

 

These two left the party for just a few minutes to do some swinging (another amazing Amber Grove detail)! Can’t get over how cute these two are!
