This sweet couple, Sarah Grace and Phil, invited us to be guests at their rehearsal dinner! It was wonderful being able to head down early.. but it was such a blessing to be able to get to know these two and hear all the fun stories from their friends and family at the dinner.
We heard all about Sarah Grace making friends at Liberty University with her boldly adventurous personality.. We even heard a story from her childhood when she fearlessly jumped off the top of a playground tunnel and broke both her arms. We heard story after story about her daring self.. but also how she is unbelievably kind and always takes time to catch up and is always taking an interest in others.
And then there was Phil, the best baseball player who struck out his childhood friend, Satya 9 times in 3 attempts at bat, but more than that, Phil was the older brother he never had. The calm and steady one… Of course, to protect the ones he cares about, he will get hyped and hot in a pinch, especially if it involves a ridiculous parking violation during the bachelor party.
Sara Grace and Phil first met at a coed small group, first starting a friendship before dating. And after her friends got to meet Phil, they all said the same thing.. he’s so normal! A perfect compliment for each other…
We really felt like part of this giant new family celebration. We were hosted and stayed with family friends the whole weekend, we attended the rehearsal dinner as guests, and we got to know these two and their amazing families! Their wedding day continued the family theme.
Sara Grace and Phil got married at North Ridge Country Club, where these two actually play golf together! They had a friend lead the guests in a song during the ceremony, and their super talented videographer who was amazing to work with, Sara Mickens from Gold & Sage, was a long time friend!
We met these two at the rehearsal dinner, yet we had been welcomed into this beautiful celebration, on a perfect day, as more than just vendors. Congrats Sara Grace and Phil! Your wedding day was so amazing and we are so thankful to be a part of it!
