They had known each other for just weeks before Matt told Rachel that he was moving to Connecticut. Not really first date material.. “hey I really like you, but the thing is.. I’m moving 5 states away”.. Not sure that’s really how the conversation went, but that’s how I’m imagining it in my head. Anyways, sometimes when you know you know, and that was totally the case for this true Kentucky boy oozing with southern charm and love for his sweet momma and this daddy’s girl from Virginia who is just the perfect mix of sporty and sweet.
It just worked.
And their wedding day complete with chest bumps, more high fives than I’ve ever seen (I stinkin’ loved it), the most adorable mother/son and father/daughter dances in the history of ever.. with all the tears.. sweet personalized vows, and some killer dance moves was witness to that. It just works. And when you know, you know.
Rachel & Matt, I can not tell you what a JOY it was to be a part of your wedding day. You two (and your amazing families) breathe so much life and love into every moment and it was amazing being a part of something so special. We love y’all and can’t wait to see what life has in store for you two.. (’cause when you can smile and laugh through a bee being trapped in your wedding dress during family formals.. and roll with the punches when that bee stings you on your wedding day).. we are pretty sure it’s going to be amazing.
