Earlier this month, we finished up our wedding season with the most gorgeous Virginia Beach wedding for a couple we just adore! You may remember Robbie and Ashley’s engagement session at the stunning Christopher Newport University campus (our very first engagement session at CNU!). Spending the evening with them was such a blast and we knew right away their wedding would be even more amazing.. and it was!
Robbie and Ashley’s day was so perfect. Their ceremony was just out back of the Founder’s Inn Spa and Resort in the gardens with the gorgeous fountain as the backdrop. Ashley is a music teacher in VA beach, and music is a huge part of their lives, so it was so fitting to have a music theme throughout the day. The ceremony was lined with flowers in cones made of sheet music, the favors were chocolate music notes, and their sweet friends sang to them during the ceremony. In fact, during that song, there was strong sprinkling of rain (and then again during our portrait time).. but it didn’t steal any joy from these two. So many other teeny details were scattered throughout their day. Like the most adorable framed pictures of the two of them that lined the aisle for the ceremony. The beginning of the aisle had baby pictures, and they grew older as you walked down. Or the pearl necklace that her mother had worn on her wedding day, or the cake that Ashley’s family seems to have at all their weddings!
Robbie and Ashley, what an honor it was for us to be there to celebrate with you both. We love you both so much and we couldn’t have imagined ending our wedding season with anyone else. Here are just a few of our many favorites from your beautiful day!
