This is our very first behind the scenes post!  Mainly because we completely forget to actually take pictures of each other while we are shooting a wedding, and also because we are complete fools and a behind the scenes post could be hugely embarrassing.. but oh well.. here we go anyways..

I think this is Michael teaching them how to walk.. ?  Not sure..

We are AWFUL at remembering to take pictures with our couples on a wedding day.. and then kick ourselves when we get into the car to go home.  Goal for 2017.. take a picture with ALL our couples! (Help us out 2017 brides!)

I think it’s Michael’s goal at every reception to capture the craziest dance poses possible.  And when he gets a good one, he can’t help but share..

Apparently it was a REALLY good one..

So this is why my back hurts the day after a wedding.. bend at the knees, Laura.. common..

Sometimes we get really close to things on tables..

Apparently I am incapable of making a normal face..

Yep, definitely incapable..

Can’t help but dance when there is a past MLBride at the reception..

ohhh how we LOVE these couples.. And we get to photograph Becky’s sister’s wedding this year!!! Eeeekkk!!!

Be sure to ask about rules of the church.. ’cause sometimes your photographer has to hide in doorways and aren’t allowed to move..

At this point in the night, Michael is so hungry he thinks by taking pictures of the food he can absorb some of it’s nutrients.

If you see him doing this, offer him a piece of cheese and he will be your best friend forever..

OK, that was way more embarrassing for me than it was for Michael.

Reminders for 2017:

• Stop making faces every time Michael lifts his camera.
• Figure out how to style your hair like a grown up instead of resorting to a ponytail by the end of the night.
• Bend at the knees
• Don’t forget to take a picture with all our couples.
• Bring a chewy bar for Michael.
