It’s amazing when you get clients that are involved and invested. We believe in building relationships with all our clients, regardless of what kind of session it is. We have had amazing wedding couples throughout our time as wedding photographers that were very involved in our relationship with them. We are more than just a vendor, we build that relationship because we want to be invested in our clients lives, and that always translates into their portraits. But when a Senior gets involved and emails you about doing something a little quirkier than normal in his session a few days before his session, we absolutely LOVED IT! We have been doing seniors for a few years, and this was our first time a senior approached us about doing something different. Â And we are really hoping it’s not the last.
Michael was an AMAZING senior to photograph. He was so easy going, had one of those personalities that just radiated joy around him, and definitely was the best kind of quirky. We met up at the Mariner’s Museum and immediately he felt completely comfortable in front of our cameras. After some time we headed over to Lion’s Bridge where he changed outfits into a sharp blazer and bow-tie. Let me tell you, there is nothing better than a statement piece like bow ties to show off personality, and that’s before the inflatable parrot pool float… Yes, you read it right! After a few more at the bridge, Michael took off his blazer, headed to the car, and blew up a giant parrot pool float and headed to the James River. I should explain that Michael has been swimming for a looooong time, so this was definitely part of showing off who he is. We climbed down some rocks, and couldn’t stop taking photos as Michael and the parrot jumped into the James River, and started floating around, relaxing as if he was in just another pool! IT WAS AMAZING! Michael, you were an absolute blast to photograph! We wish you all the best in your senior year, and we know you can’t be stopped with that incredible personality!
