We did SO many fun things this past week and we wanted to share them ALL.

(A little over a week ago) Last Thursday, we had our first ever styled shoot in the OBX. I can’t wait to show off the incredible images with this dream team of vendors, but sadly (and really excitedly) we have to wait until it gets published!!!  If you missed our updates about the shoot, be sure to follow us on Snapchat @Michael-Laura.  Another new update, we’ve become slightly obsessed with Snapchat..

Friday and Saturday we had some off time in Duck, Outer Banks.. but as you may have seen from my instagram post, Michael spent a solid portion of his days off digging a hole.  Don’t worry, he got in some golf with my dad, too.  And we made it to Duck Donuts.  So all is well with the world.

Sunday we drove down to see Michael’s side of the family and celebrate Mother’s Day.  It was Michael’s sister’s first Mother’s day and we got to spend some time squeezing our adorable niece.  AND Michael’s aunt is in Virginia, visiting from England.  Did y’all know Michael was born in England?

Tuesday we got together with our local Tuesday’s Together group.  If you are a fellow creative, and don’t know about the Rising Tide Society, you are definitely going to want to look into this.  It’s an amazing group of people who all come together to support one another and their businesses.  And as an added bonus, this week’s meet up was at the GORGEOUS Lee Hall Mansion.  If you live on the peninsula and are looking for a wedding venue, look no further.

Wednesday we headed to Norfolk for an engagement shoot.  Our sweet friend from high school is getting married next year, AND is moving to New Hampshire in the next couple of weeks, so it was amazing to be able to shoot a quick engagement session (SO excited to share these.. spoiler, their adorable pup joined us…) and go have a beer at Smartmouth Brewing Co. afterwards.  Turns out we really love Norfolk, might be because of all the cute restaurants and breweries, but I think we will be spending more time across the water in the near future.

Thursday was Michael’s birthday!!!!  We went out to our absolute favorite dinner spot, Mellow Mushroom, for a mini celebration.  Happy birthday, Michael!!! I love you so much and I can’t wait to spend this weekend on the couch with you.
