From the invitation alone, we knew this bridal shower was going to be amazing, but when we walked in to the house we were floored! Black and white stripes, with pink and gold pops EVERYWHERE. Lauren and her mom had moved ALL the furniture out of their living room and replaced it with a long dining table covered in the most adorable table setting ever. There were games and activities all over the place. A mimosa bar and waffle station (Danielle’s favorite thing is brunch, so they threw a “brunch and bubbly” shower! AND her favorite thing to eat at brunch is chicken and waffles.. and you guys.. have you ever had chicken and waffles!?!? ‘Cause I hadn’t.. and it was DELICIOUS! So brunch with chicken and waffles is also my favorite thing now.. thanks, Danielle!). But seriously, just wait ’til you see all these amazing details!
And while we were shooting all these amazing details, we learned we were a surprise! I don’t think we’ve ever been a surprise before! Danielle also does photography, and as all us photographers know, it’s rare to find us on the other side of the camera. So we are always a little extra excited when we are shooting a fellow photographer! And Lauren, aka the most amazing maid of honor I’ve ever seen, knew this.
Game 1: Guessing the brides age. I would be awful at this!
Game 2: Cake tasting. This was such a good idea. Danielle is getting married on the Outer Banks, so she didn’t have a normal cake tasting. And since that is one of the more fun parts of wedding planning, Lauren and her mom made sure she got one! Loved this!
Game 3: He said/She said. You might recognize this game from Caitlin’s bridal shower. It’s always going to be a favorite!
Game 4: Guessing what’s in the box. Lauren stuffed these adorable boxes with items that represent the bride and groom (fishing lures, graduation tassels, etc.), and you had to go around and guess what they all were without seeing them.
Lauren, you did such an AMAZING job with this shower! It was gorgeous and we were so happy to be there.
Danielle, you are one of the most bubbly and sweet people I’ve ever met! We had such a blast being there to celebrate you getting married!!! You are going to be the most beautiful bride! Enjoy your last few days as Ms. Steel!
